Icicle Haiku

Water drips freezing
Gaining strength hardening strong
Glistening beauty

Don’t know why icicles popped in to my head today.  Maybe since the weather here went from 75 Sunday to wintry mix forecast for tonight.

I have always found icicles to be fascinating.  I know they are simply water that is freezing in windy conditions but if the sun hits them just right, all the spectrum is there to see.

Pretty cool.  Pun intended.  🙂

Don’t forget that April is National Poetry month.  I like the Haiku, in the traditional Japanese 5-7-5 structure.  So focused and concise.

Think of things that lift your mind and spirits and try to capture them in poetry this month.
